Character Counts
It is the goal and philosophy of Christ The King Lutheran School to assist parents and teachers to combat negative influences in society.  In an effort to accomplish this, CTK has begun to incorporate a program based upon "Character Counts".  The plan is to instill positive character traits into the lives of the entire school community with a Christian approach to the 7 Pillars of Character as listed below.
  • Be Honest
  • Have the courage to do the right thing
  • Don't deceive, cheat, or steal
  • Be impartial in your actions and responses
  • Be reliable - do what you say you'll do
  • Build a good reputation
  • Be loyal - stand by your family, friends, and country
  • Treat others with respect; follow the Golden Rule
  • Use good manners, not bad language
  • Don't threaten, hit or hurt anyone
  • Honor those in authority over you
  • Be tolerant of differences
  • Be considerate of the feelings of others
  • Deal peacefully with anger, insults, and disagreements
  • Honor others, their ideas and property
  • Do what you are supposed to do
  • Always do your best
  • Be self-disciplined
  • Be accountable for your choices
  • Persevere: Keep on trying!
  • Use self-control
  • Think before you act - consider the consequences
  • Be good stewards of God's gifts
  • Build a deep spiritual respect for God and all that is His!
  • Build a personal relationship with God through prayer
